Be a Nelson Walk
The Be a Nelson Walk is an initiative organized with MasterPeace , a global grassroots movement focused on peacebuilding through dialogue, understanding, and cultural exchange. The walk is designed to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to connect, reflect, and learn from one another while immersing themselves in nature and local communities.
In March 2024, 15 international participants were accompanied by 18 members of the Be a Nelson Movement for a 6-day, off-the-grid walk in nature. Participants testify about this life-changing experience as they formed lifelong friendships across cultural boundaries.
StreetBiz Foundation is committed to do this walk regularly and anyone interested should write us to be updated about the next walk in South Africa’s nature with Be a Nelson Movement.

Key Elements of the Be a Nelson Walk:
Off-the-Grid Nature Experience: Participants embark on a multi-day walking journey in nature, allowing for personal reflection, deep conversations, and silent walks to process insights.
Cultural and Historical Exploration: The walk includes visits to historical sites, offering participants a chance to learn about the origins of mankind, indigenous cultures, and local traditions.
Community Engagement: Participants interact with local communities by visiting schools, supporting community projects, and even playing friendly soccer matches with locals.
A Mindshift Experience: Through open discussions and shared experiences, participants gain a deeper understanding of social issues, equality, and personal transformation.
